The 15 Best Seamless Leggings, Tested and Reviewed - Byrdie

Leggings are an undeniable wardrobe staple, but not all are created equal. Although soft, stretchy materials like cotton are always key, the seamless variety can look and feel smoother. Seamless clothing is often made with a circular knitting technique instead of stitching multiple pieces together. This comes with a ton of benefits when compared to regular leggings, explains UK-based fashion director Kristine Kilty. "They are more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and can withstand all the stretching, running, and lifting you can throw at them," she says.

With competitive price and timely delivery, UNIMETONE sincerely hope to be your supplier and partner.

To find seamless leggings worth buying, we tested more than 20 pairs at home. As we wore and washed them, we rated them on fit, comfort, performance, and durability. Here's the best seamless leggings we tested.

Material: Nylon, elastane | Size Range: XXS-XXL | Colors: 6

You've probably seen Gymshark's seamless leggings all over Instagram by now—and take it from us, they're bestsellers for a reason. Available in six colors, these squat-proof leggings are ideal for hitting the gym, pounding the pavement, or getting movement in at home. The high-waisted fit features a supportive waistband, figure-contouring shading, and sweat-wicking fabric so you can feel as comfortable as possible while working out. On our 5'10" tester, they hit us right at the ankles, meaning they are tall figure friendly.

Lauren Padree, senior editor: "I wore them throughout my barre class and actually forgot I was wearing them at all. They passed all the exercise tests and didn't weigh me down, ride up, or show sweat."

Material: Nylon, polyester, spandex | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 4

The Contour Seamless Leggings from Bombshell Sportswear aren’t a cult classic—yet. Judging by the reviews alone, these rival the most recognizable brands in terms of comfort, style and quality. They’re designed with a V-shaped ribbed waistband and ribbed panels on the sides to achieve their eponymous contouring effect, plus a scrunch butt for lifting that booty. The only seams you’ll find here are around the waistband and on the inner leg for better flexibility as you move. Plus it’s hard not to fall for those adorable colors.

Material: Nylon, elastane | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 6

Halara is consistently highly rated for wardrobe basics at wallet-friendly prices, so we’re certainly thrilled the brand carries seamless leggings. These marbled, colorful pants are designed with a faux seam on the outer leg for a contouring effect without the potential irritation from an actual seam, and have zero seams in the back or front. They fall at the ankle and are perfect for lounging or running errands.

Material: Nylon, elastane | Size Range: S-XL | Colors: 3

If you're open to spending a bit more on high-quality, luxurious leggings, we highly recommend Fogal. The brand's Genosis Leggings are more seamless than others—they have no stitching down the outside of the legs and partial seams only on the lower part of the inside. We like the wider-than-average, high-rise waistband, breathable weave, and velvety-soft feel.

Material: Nylon, elastane, Lycra | Size Range: XS-L | Colors: 3

Kilty, for one, is a huge fan of these ultimate sportswear leggings. These are seamless in the front, back, and sides but feature contouring lines that will make you feel extra confident in the gym. The fabric on these tights strikes the perfect balance between supportive compression and ease of movement, plus they keep their shape over the long term, so you can thank us later.

Material: Polyester, nylon, spandex | Size Range: XXS-XXXL | Colors: 2

Another Instagram favorite, Buffbunny serves up activewear for those who love the spotlight (or just what they see in the mirror). These seamless leggings—available in plain black or a beautiful rich brown—are designed with a supportive ribbed waistband, lightly compressive fabric, and strategic contouring to show off what you’ve got. Wear them like the cool girls with white socks and sneakers layered over them for your daily walk.

Material: Nylon, elastane | Size Range: XXS-4X | Colors: 5

These leggings from Skims are just the thing for lounging, athleisure outfits, and daily wear. They're designed with what the brand calls "seamless construction," which is seam-free outer legs, a seamless high-rise waistband, and no stitching down the butt or center below the waistband. We also appreciate that the inclusive size range goes up to 4X.

Material: Nylon, spandex | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 8

With vertical ridges running from the top of the waistband to the hems, ribbed leggings can have an elongating effect that makes you look taller. Plus, the raised texture just feels cool when you rub your hands over it. We like this pair with its seam-free back and sides and no stitching down the outer legs. Since the thick (but not constricting) fabric and non-rolling waist pass the squat test, these stretchy pants are ideal for everything from walking to watching TV.

Material: Recycled polyamide, elastane | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 3

Some of the best seamless leggings offer a shaping effect to highlight your curves. Case in point: Ldnr Chisel Leggings. These bestsellers have varying levels of compression to smooth and cinch certain areas without flattening others. Perfect for lower body workouts, we love how these leggings lift and accentuate your backside, support your waist, and sculpt your legs with a stay-in-place fabric and minimal seams throughout.

Material: Nylon, polyester, Ionic+™ nylon, spandex | Size Range: XXS-2XL | Colors: 3

Dubbed "the Lululemon of scrubs," Figs once only carried apparel for medical workers but now has a decent selection of loungewear and workout clothes. We're particularly fond of the brand's Salta Seamless Leggings, which only have seams down the inside of each leg. There's no stitching down the front, back, or outer legs, but you will find a faux seam on the back for a booty-shaping effect. What really stands out about these stretchy pants is the waistband. The lightly compressive, fold-over design supports your tummy and smooths your midsection without digging into your skin. We also like that odor-control technology is woven in to keep you smelling fresh.

Material: Microfiber nylon, spandex | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 14

These leggings are made of a dense, firming material that delivers strong compression in areas where you want more support—think waist, hips, and thighs. Then you'll get a bit more stretch and definition on the backside and through the bottom portion of your legs. We like how these athletic tights enhance your natural silhouette without pinching or feeling uncomfortably tight.

Alyssa Kaplan, associate editor: "They hold up beautifully. I've been wearing these for years and they wash and wear well. They don't pill at all and they're not lint magnets either."

Material: Nylon, elastane | Size Range: XXS-4X | Colors: 1

These feature strong compression throughout to help you feel extra supported, and work just as well for exercising as they do as a base layer under your jeans or winter wear. And as we’ve come to expect when it comes to Skims, they come in up to a size 4X, a much more inclusive range than the majority of mainstream brands. Score.

Material: Nylon, polyester, elastane | Size Range: XS-XL | Colors: 6

Great seamless leggings that also have handy pockets are hard to come by—you can believe us; we scoured the internet for a pair. That’s why we’re delighted to present: Pursue Fitness’ Core Seamless Pocket Leggings, which come in a great range of marbled and solid colors and feature minimal seams throughout. In the back of the waistband, you’ll find a super practical zipped pocket that’s the perfect size for your , making these leggings an ideal choice for avid runners and walkers alike.

Material: Recycled nylon, spandex | Size Range: XS-2X | Colors: 5

Seamless leggings can work well as long underwear, acting as a cozy, stretchy base layer under snow gear and cold-weather hiking apparel. Halfdays Sophia Leggings are totally seamless on the sides, front, and back, yet a faux seam in the back gives a butt-shaping effect. The ribbed side panels provide flexible compression, while the mesh calves encourage airflow and the sweat-wicking finish keeps you comfortably dry.

Material: Cotton, modal, nylon, spandex | Size Range: S-XL | Colors: 1

During pregnancy, comfort is key, so the fewer potentially irritating features on your clothing, the better. These leggings from Cake Maternity take the… cake in this category, with minimal seams and a printed tag to avoid any scratching. The very, very stretchy fabric on these over-the-bump pants ensures you’ll be comfortable as you move and means you can wear them throughout your pregnancy and postpartum.

What to Look for in Seamless Leggings

  • Seam-Free Components: Some garments are truly seamless, which usually means they're made with a circular weaving technique rather than stitching pieces together. This can be tricky for pants—and with leggings, some stitching can help with shaping and preventing a too-low crotch (the opposite of camel toe). All that said, the best seamless leggings have one or more seam-free components. Beyond stitch-free outer legs, this might include the inner legs, waistband, front, back, or pockets.
  • Compression and Stretch: When buying leggings, yoga pants, or athletic tights, pay attention to how much compression and stretch they offer. Compressive fabrics might prevent muscle fatigue and soreness while smoothing certain areas and "holding you in ." But too much compression can feel stiff and constricting. “You should feel a light compression, but the leggings should never feel too tight or restrictive,” says Kilty. “Always check the stretch factor in the fitting room by squatting, sitting down, and raising your knees as much as possible.”
  • Rise: Many of today's best seamless leggings have extra-wide, high-rise waistbands. This can provide a shaping effect, help smooth your midsection, and prevent them from rolling down. The high-waist also helps to elongate the body. While many people these days prefer the high-waist look, this isn’t the only option. “For those who prefer a lower waist band, aim for styles that sit low on the hips,” advises Kilty. “Avoid styles that cut across the stomach, as they may become irritating during ab exercises.”
  • Length: Since every brand has different sizing, content creator Kathryn Mueller, who specializes in activewear, recommends figuring out which inseam length works best for your height and then use that as your guide when shopping.

How We Tested Seamless Leggings

To test the best seamless legging, we first identified the most promising pairs, based on customer reviews and expert advice. Then our team of editors, who span across different heights and body types, tested the leggings at home by regularly wearing and washing them. While testing the leggings, we took note of the following:

  • Fit: After following the size guide, we noted how well the leggings fit our body and height. We made note if the legging bunched around the ankles, was too high in the waist, or was too tight or loose overall.
  • Comfort: After wearing the leggings for several hours, we noted how comfortable they felt and whether they moved around while active. Did they dig into the waistband or regularly roll down? We discarded any seamless leggings that sagged in the wrong places.
  • Fabric: We looked for leggings that kept us cool and dry while wearing working out. We also looked for leggings that stretched to allow us to move comfortably while still providing enough coverage in the back.
  • Durability: We looked for any signs of wear and tear after washing, like piling, loose threads, tears, or lose of original shape.

I was worried they were going to be too tight or see-through. However, that’s not the case! They are not see-through even after three washes so far. They are extremely soft and comfortable.
